How much do you charge for websites?
Viziontec develops websites starting in the range of $400 for basic sites, and extends to $4,000 and beyond for websites that require more extensive programming, flash animation, and advanced search engine optimization. Most small business websites will range between $500-$3000 on average, which is a bargain compared to the industry standard. The cost of your website will depend on several different factors such as the number of pages, functionality required, and other services needed to compliment the site.
Do I need to hire a "local" web designer?
We create websites for clients who are local as well as out of state. The beauty of the internet, email, and other telecommunication methods is that it greatly increases the effectiveness of communication with clients in any location.
How long does it take to have a website designed?
Many websites are able to be completed in 1-3 weeks, and some smaller, less complex sites can be completed in even a shorter period of time. How long it takes to complete your site is based on a number of factors that include: the complexity and size of your site, our current schedule, and your availability to give development approvals along the way. Our timeline starts after the client has provided us all the content (text, images, forms) for the website.
What do I put on my website?
What you put on your website depends on what your goals are for the site. If you want it to serve as a face for you site, then you implement a plan accordinly. Likewise if your site is for selling products from the internet or such. Viziontec offers content creation and consultancy services at very affordable rates.
Do I need any technical knowledge before you can design my website?
Absolutely not! All you do need is a good idea of the goals for your website and Viziontec will help you formulate and strategize these goals. We provide an initial questionnaire that helps us capture all the pertinent information that will allow us to develop an effectively beautiful solution for you.
Do I need to provide the images for my website?
Unless the client wants to pay Viziontec's rate of $10 per image, the client is required to provide images for the website.
Do I need to supply text for my website?
The clientis required to provide text for the website. However, Viziontec does offer content writing services at very reasonable rates.
How many website revisions do I get?
Viziontec will provide one revision after the initial mock-up. After that point Viziontec will charge an hourly rate for additional revisions.
Do I need to edit my website myself?
For most small business websites you don't have to edit the site yourself, but if you prefer that, then you certainly can. As part of our web development process we will recommend a good web hosting company for your website. All of the web host companies we recommend have programs that make it possible for you to edit your site yourself. Viziontec will gladly make changes for you at very affordable rates.
What is Web Maintenance?
In order to keep traffic coming to your website you want the content to be updated on at least a semi-regularly basis. Maintenance is consists of adding content (images, text, forms, etc), removing content, restructuring content, etc.
What turnaround time-frame can I expect for Web Maintenance?
Viziontec usually completes minor changes and updates within 24-48 hours. Major changes are scheduled for a development timetable agreed upon with the client.
What is web hosting and do I need it?
Web hosting is where your website actually resides on servers that enable the site to be accessed by users all around the world. In order for people to be able to see and use your site you must have web hosting. Viziontec does not offer web hosting, however, we do have a list of recommended web hosting providers who provide awesome hosting and other add-ons including things such as unlimited email accounts, unlimited data transfer, etc. Our recommended hosting providers offer THE BEST rates and are well-rated across the industry.
Why can't I find my website in the search engines?
After your site has been submitted to the major search engines it may take weeks, or even months for them to "spider" your site and list it in their directory.
Will my website appear in search engines like Google?
Even as part of our most basic packages, Viziontec will submit your site to the major search engines (such as Google, Yahoo, Bing). We code all of our sites to be search engine-friendly (please bear in mind this is not the same process undertaken with our search engine optimization services), and the text you provide (which should include industry-relevant keywords and keyword phrases) plays a big part also. After the search engines have "spidered" your website it will be listed in their directory.
Does Flash affect my search engine rankings?
The search engines can and do index sites that implement Flash heavily in its content, but usually not very favorably. Due to the competitiveness and importance of being ranked highly, we do not recommend sites that use Flash heavily. If utilizing Flash is important to you then go for it.
