Work Process
Viziontec uses a specific process based on modern best practices in website design and development. It allows us to work in a proficient and effective manner to manage both time and resources. This process of steps has been honed and refined to ensure successful completion of our projects, and fulfill the requirements and desires of our clients. You, the client, are involved in each phase of development to ensure total satisfaction.
Establish & Define
A project begins by establishing and defining what the goal is. A project should never be started without having a clear indication of what we want the end result to be. This ensures that we can go about the tasks of our strategy deliberately and with purpose without straying from our desired path. In this planning stage you provide us with detailed information about your company, and inform us of sites that you like, and features you want incorporated into your website.
We carefully analyze what it is you want to achieve and help you construct a solid objective and organize it accordingly. After the website structure and content planning is done we gather the content for the website. Content consists of text, images, documents, pdfs, etc. A domain name needs to be registered at this point , if you don't already have one, and it is also suggested that you secure a web hosting account at this juncture. During this stage 50% of the agreed upon price of the project is due.
Design
In this stage we develop the visual "look and feel" of your website. We construct effective and appealing layout schemes that mesh beautifully with the image and color-scheme you're looking for. During this stage we provide up to two drafts of the website. Preferably by this stage you will have provided us with images you want to use for your site to get a more accurate feel. If not, royalty-free images can temporarily be provided. At this point text is not important, as we're only focusing on the "look and feel" of the website. Once you approve the design we move on to the next phase of the project.
Develop
Once you approve the design, we go about the process of merging your content into the website. All the supplied textual content, images, etc. will be skillfully placed within the layout of the website. Because of the extensive planning prior to this phase, the development phase is a relatively straight-forward process. We make sure all pages are cohesive, have a nice flow, and are error-free. We test your site for broken links, web browser compatibility, and validated code. We then submit it for your approval to move into the final phase.
Deliver & Monitor
In this final stage of the web development process we will conduct more testing of the site. We will load it onto a testing web host server and re-check links, browser compatibility, functionality, etc. When we are assured of that process, we will then collect the remaining 50% of agreed upon payment for the website. At that point we will set up the website on the servers of the web hosting company you have chosen, and monitor the site for a period of two weeks to ensure that it is functioning properly. There is always the option to form a maintenance contract for extended monitoring and updating of your site after the two week period is over.
